Sisi

More than a century ago, there lived an empress whose stars were not merely ornaments, but a personal expression of freedom and inner strength. The Sisi series was created as a tribute to Elisabeth of Bavaria and her quiet yet enduring presence in our lands.

The Sisi series was created as a tribute to Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria. A woman who was not only an icon of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy but also the empress of our lands. Her story touches the territories we live in, the places we still pass through, and the memory of the country she helped shape. The idea for the Sisi series was born not in archives, but on journeys across Slovakia. While traveling through our country, visiting museums and historical sites, we repeatedly came across her name, her trace, her presence. Subtle, yet persistent.

A powerful moment was our visit to the Bardejov Museum, where Empress Sisi’s ring is kept—a gift she gave to the town of Bardejov. A quiet, personal object. Not a symbol of power, but a gesture. A reminder of her connection, respect, and closeness to this region. It was precisely then that the story came full circle.

The inspiration for our Sisi series came from the starry jewelry that Sisi wore in her hair. Delicate symbols of the night, of freedom, and of an inner longing to escape the strict rules of the court. Stars that were not merely ornaments, but a personal expression of a woman who never fully fit into the expectations of her time. In the Sisi series, a star symbolizes inner light, individuality, and quiet strength—values that resonate with our own approach of connecting history with the present, heritage with personal stories.

Each piece of jewelry appears as if gently scattered across the skin, like a constellation that shifts with movement, light, and the wearer’s mood. Sometimes subtle, sometimes radiant. Just like the woman who wears it.
